March is gone but it's still spawning time for bass. I go low and slow, then go up top at dusk. The fish are waking up: I get the trifecta. But why is that bass so small?

A look back at a trip that was never posted. The receding shoreline weeds capture the fallen leaves, rubber legs are again the order of the day, the colors of the trees and the bluegill begin to converge, and a crappie flexes.
