First trip of May. Trees are down all around the lake after two days of storms. Wind persists and I hear another tree go down deep in the woods. I make the big loop around the shoreline without moving anything. Finally at dusk, to avert a skunk, I tie on a muddler and hunt down a Bluegill under the bankside trees. I miss more than one before achieving a hookup. It's a beaut. One more takes the trolled muddler on the way back to the takeout. Makes the trip feel like at least a meager success.
Wow, nice 'Gill. I would love to have a "Meager" trip like that with the results being that size Bluegill.
